LOL… i hate BA soo much every time ive (attempted) to fly with them (thats five times now) there has ALWAYS been a problem such as a strike… a huge delay etc…

i always fly with easyjet now and never once have they made me even 30 minutes delayed… always been on time…!! =]

btw wel dun to ure girlfriend for makin the complaint lol!!! =]

I also rented through these guys a few years ago and found them seriously negligent. I left after just two months as they ahd not fixed the boiler in that entire time (this was in november) and we had no heating or hot water. They would send dodgy foreign workmen round at all hours with no notice and a set of keys to let themselves in. At one point I was actually in the bath when some workman just let himself into the flat!

They are appaling and I’m extremely glad you took them to court. Well done.

So I never got round to finishing off this post, but the outcome is that I went to Court and won, but the landlord didn’t turn up so there was no-one to get any money from. I’d be happy to pass on all of the details of my case to you to help yours. Where is the property you are renting? Who is the landlord?

Interesting that Google still doesn’t have building outlines for London. For my hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, they have *3D* building info, at least for downtown. If you’ve never seen it, it’s worth a look:

For my “adopted” hometown of Prague, Czech Republic, Google had its traditional “streets running through a grey desert” until about three weeks ago, when all of a sudden detailed building outlines showed up on Google Maps. I’d used local mapping sites up until now, because of their more detailed data set, but I’ll probably switch to Google Maps at this point.

Now that I’ve had a chance to run a Twitter bot for a few months, I’m encountering many of the same problems – hard to keep it up and running reliably. I used Twitter mainly for the free SMS functionality (a user can direct message my bot from Twitter SMS and get a response by SMS without my having to pay SMS fees), but I’d really prefer to get my own SMS number so I have more control over the process. But looking at the prices for outgoing SMSes to Europe, won’t be doing that any time soon.

I disagree. What I dream of is a world where I can choose to buy a ticket for £5 and clean my own tray or £50 and have it cleaned for me (free if I clean my neighbour’s tray). If I buy the cheapest ticket around, then what else can I expect?

I’ve had some really good experiences flying recently. SwissAir’s Avro RJ 100s that fly out of London City are spacious and extremely clean. Swiss also give you free booze. EasyJet have always been a pleasure – modern, quiet and clean planes (though often noisy attendants). Likewise, RyanAir’s ludicrously cheap tickets can’t be argued with.
